    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: August 2026

Central Brain is built to keep your information with you. There are no developer servers and no user accounts, and we do not collect, track, or sell your personal data. Without Premium everything stays local in the app, with a backup export available anytime; with Premium your data is additionally stored in your own iCloud. Either way, nothing you enter into the app ever leaves your device and your own iCloud. The one exception is not your content but advertising: the free version shows a banner served by Google, which processes a device identifier to do so — see “Advertising” below. Premium removes ads.

    What we store

Your vehicles, payments, properties, tire sets, service records, notes, and any photos or documents you add are stored in the app's database on your device. Without Premium, everything stays only on the device, and you can export a backup file at any time. With Premium, the same database also syncs to YOUR private iCloud database (CloudKit), encrypted under your own Apple Account, so all your devices stay in step — we still have no access to it whatsoever.

    AI assistant

The built-in assistant runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device models (Apple Intelligence). Your questions and its answers are processed on the phone and are never sent to us or to any third party.

    Camera & other permissions

Camera (scanning documents to read text such as the VIN, license plate, or tire size), microphone and speech recognition (dictating to the assistant), calendar and reminders (optional export of due dates), and Face ID (locking the app) are used only with your permission and processed only on your device. Nothing from any of them is uploaded anywhere.

    Motorway vignette check

When you tap “Verify on eDálnice”, the app copies the vehicle's license plate to your clipboard and opens the official eDálnice website in your browser. The app itself sends no data — you run the check on their site.

    Purchases

Premium purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment card, or Apple ID.

    Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. There is no push server and no tracking of whether you open them.

    Advertising

The free version shows a single banner on the Dashboard, served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). To select, deliver and measure that ad, Google processes a device identifier and ad-interaction data. We receive none of it and have no access to it, and no content you enter into the app is ever used for advertising. Before the first ad loads the app asks you: in the EEA and the UK a consent form from Google's Consent Management Platform appears first, followed by Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline tracking you still see ads, only non-personalised ones. You can reopen that choice at any time in Settings ▸ Ads ▸ Ad privacy choices, and report an ad you find inappropriate from the same place. Buying Premium removes advertising entirely — no ad component is loaded and Google receives nothing. Google describes its own processing at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

    Family sharing

If you invite family members, the household data you choose to share becomes visible to them through Apple's iCloud sharing (CloudKit). It still lives only in your iCloud — we still have no access to it — and you can change each person's role or revoke access at any time; removing someone removes the data from their devices.

    Sharing with third parties

Nothing you enter into the app — vehicles, payments, properties, documents, assistant conversations — is shared with anyone. The app makes external connections to exactly two parties. Apple: for purchases, for your own iCloud sync with Premium, and for family sharing you set up yourself. Google (Google Ireland Limited), in the free version only: the AdMob banner described above, which receives a device identifier and ad-interaction data and nothing else. Premium leaves Apple as the only one. Both are bound by their own published privacy terms, which afford protection equal to or better than this policy.

    Children

Central Brain is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children.

    Deleting your data

Delete any item inside the app, or remove the app from your device, to erase the local data. With Premium, deletions sync to your private iCloud as well. Because everything is yours, deletion is immediate and permanent.

    Changes

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change with it.
